Many of you will know, I have been running eye2eye Shop successfully at Wollaston Courtyard for over 5 years. Those of you who came along to this year’s fashion show will appreciate that June marked the 5th anniversary of the official opening of eye2eye in Wollaston Courtyard.
I started this extraordinary business independently, (with a lot of support from my wonderful family!) at the start of 2010, with Fairtrade fortnight 2010 being my first main event to fully launch eye2eye FairTrade. Before long I had small shop running part-time in the afternoons on Broughton in Milton Keynes, while I worked in the mornings for Fairtrade corporate clothing company, Cotton Roots. When Stephen and I moved to the village of Wollaston nearly 8 years ago, I was delighted to discover Wollaston Courtyard and soon put my name forward for a unit. I took on a small space, in May 2013, in order to run eye2eye full-time in the village where I live. That first little shop was located opposite the current shop, as many of you will remember. I moved into this larger shop at the end of that year, which provided the opportunity to offer my customers a wider selection of unusual and original products, many from regional designer makers, such as jewellery, hand crafted cards, gifts and Fairtrade clothing. I also had the advantage of an attached studio space, to run arts & crafts courses, a tremendous asset to share skills and fulfil my own creative needs. It has been a wonderful experience and great working environment.
I have met so many delightful people, talented makers, artists and designers both locally and from around the world, and many hundreds of customers over the years, it has been a great privilege.
However, this is to let you know that I will be closing eye2eye FairTrade Shop at the end of 2018.
I want to thank my wonderful customers who have supported the shop generously over the past 5 years. Thank you for your kindness and generosity on behalf of all the artists, makers and food producers represented at eye2eye shop.
This will be eye2eye FairTrade Shop’s last Christmas in the Courtyard so I highly recommend that you take advantage of the next couple of months of opening, as they will be your last opportunity to buy that little something special you have seen and wanted, but didn’t buy at the time.
Buy it now, before it has gone forever!
The contact details of all my crafters and makers can be found in the shop, should you wish to buy from them directly once the shop has closed. Many of them have websites, or Internet presence, where they can be contacted.
Please note, I will not be having a closing down sale. I will have fresh new stock available right up to the final days before Christmas. All the stock will remain at its full value to the end of the year, please respect this.
Thank you for your custom!
