We have been battling with internet connection for a couple of months here, and a lot has happened at the shop to tell you about.
First eye2eye took on the whole lease for Unit 2 in the Courtyard at the beginning of May, which has provided a space for development of Arts & Crafts courses.
It has long been my wish to combine my passion for Fairtrade, with my love of art and design. So this is a great opportunity to bring those two interest together in one place.
As part of the development, My husband & I have built a large work table from salvaged timber, and I am currently in the process of decorating the table top with a mosaic. At approximately 1mtr x 2mtrs it will take a few weeks to complete, but it is an enjoyable process.
Our first courses leaflet is up and running and we kicked off with a great Mono printing course last week. More courses are planned and will be run by experienced makers, with a passion for teaching and passing on skills.
Please get in touch if you would like to receive more information.
I have also linked up with Denise from Green Garden Craft, who is adding fresh herbs to the locally sourced fruit and veg we have at eye2eye shop and regionally made craft work, which sit comfortably alongside Fairtrade products in the shop. Some of the crafters are based just a few steps from our door in the village.
Being hand-made many items can be made to order for a special occasion, or by commission.
Also. . .
Our new Courtyard Events leaflet for the next 6 months is also with the printers. I will post more information about this very soon.
