What a super day we had yesterday in Wollaston Courtyard! What amazing weather we had too, glorious sunshine all day!

A wonderful atmosphere, delicious foods and drinks to try- Blackcurrant Cider from Saxby’s has to be sampled – Wow! Janet’s stone baked pizzas were also a huge hit, as were the butchers barbecued sausages and burgers. We were spoilt for choice with hand made cakes and confection, a fab selection of cheeses, including Goats cheeses from Nene View Dairy, and such a wide range of jams, pickles, marmalades and chutneys from Regent Chutney’s. We are so lucky to have Awbery’s lovely tearooms in the Courtyard who did sterling work keeping everyone refreshed with hot and cold drinks and traditional fayre. Our event was enhanced by a visit from our local Salvation Army Brass Band, who played some very jolly tunes for us during the afternoon. Thank you all!
12 independent regional producers were represented, plus the great selection of fresh, local and organic Wholefoods that we sell here in our own Courtyard shops.
Following the event I will be carrying stock from several of our event food producers – so come and take a look in the shop or call me for more details.

There was huge interest in having an event closer to Christmas, so watch this space for more information – I need to recover some energy first, before planning the next one! – A very Big Thank You, to everyone who supported it, be it stall holder, shop keeper or visitor! Especially to those friends and family who made sure it all ran smoothly, just out of love and kindness. I must particularly thank Ray and Joan, lovely people, who assisted in every possible way with the marquees.
You are all stars!

Celebrate Organic September with eye2eye!

Most of us appreciate that going organic, be it food or other products, is better for you and undoubtedly better for the environment.
If we each make one small change to our shopping, to include an organic option, ‘going organic’ will gradually become more acheivable for everyone.

During the month of September the Soil Association are inviting people to share their change, for a chance to win some great organic prizes. In turn it will provide the Soil Association with invaluable insight into how people engage with Organic products and what motivates them.
