Brazils, walnuts, almonds (smoked and honey roasted from Zaytoun), plus organic hazelnuts, FT dates, organic cranberries and figs. . . They’re the best we’ve tasted by far and so say our customers! We also have a new range of ‘raw’ chocolate from ‘Conscious’; organic, vegan, free from pesticides and sweetened with agave. This delicious chocolate range contains a selection of berries, nuts and essential oils (orange, tangerine, rose) to suit all tastes. I particularly like ‘Love Potion No.9’ with rose oil, but the rich dark 70% is excellent too. Come and buy some!
New in the shop this week: Doves Farm, gluten free Buckwheat flour, perfect for pasta making, blinis and pancakes. Lovely with homemade chocolate sauce and chopped nuts…
How to make Blinis:
175g Buckwheat flour; 2 eggs; 2tsp baking powder; 300ml milk; 2tbsp oil
Whisk the eggs, add flour, baking powder and milk and beat well to make a batter.
Heat a little oil in a heavy frying pan and drop in tablespoons of the batter.
Cook until the underside is golden, turn over and cook the other side. Continue until the batter is used.
Serve with melted dark chocolate and a sprinkling of chopped nuts. Savour and enjoy!
